About Peter

An operator, an entrepreneur, and a grounded optimist.

I love business. I love how a well-run company takes care of its people, delights its customers, and quietly makes its corner of the world work better. The Jorgenson Companies exists to build and keep companies like that.

Over more than twenty years, I progressed through leadership roles in sales, merchandising, logistics, marketing, and commercial finance at companies including Target and Cargill, most recently serving as a vice president at RNDC, then one of the country's largest beverage distributors. I've been a buyer, an analyst, a builder of teams through relentless change, and a founder of businesses of my own. I enjoy constantly making things better.

What I learned in all of it is simple: the companies that win over decades are the ones where the people doing the work have a real stake in the outcome, where reputation is guarded more carefully than profit, and where leadership thinks in years, not quarters. That's not idealism. It's the most durable competitive advantage there is.

I live in Carmel, Indiana with my wife and our three kids. I serve as a trustee of the Indianapolis Zoo, I read constantly, and I'm genuinely optimistic about where the world is heading long term. I keep the receipts.

If you want the full career history, it's at peterjorgenson.com and LinkedIn. If you want to talk business — I'm always open to a conversation.
